Misha Nili

Articling Student

Misha is one of our articling students for the 2025-2026 term, working primarily with the Corporate and Commercial group. As a previous summer student at Sotos, she contributed to franchising, regulatory, licensing, and distribution matters in a variety of industries, including the automative, restaurant, and retail sectors.

While in law school, Misha completed the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Intensive program where she worked as a legal intern at Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Misha was also a clinic fellow in the Osgoode IP Innovation Clinic, where she assisted clients in matters concerning the protection and commercialization of intellectual property. In recognition for her efforts, she received the IP Osgoode David Vaver Medal for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. Misha was a Co-Director for the Osgoode Women’s Network, where her focus was encouraging the inclusion of women in the IP and technology law practice areas.

Misha has previous experience in the life sciences and healthcare, having completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology with First Class Honours at York University. She later completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science at the University of Toronto, after which she worked as a neonatal intensive care nurse in two teaching hospitals in Toronto. Misha obtained her J.D. at Osgoode Hall Law School.
