Practice Focus

Sam provides strategic counsel in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate disputes, with an emphasis on franchising, commercial leasing, privacy, media law and alternative dispute resolution.

Sam contributes to various legal publications including: the Franchise and Distribution Press (Federated Press) and Franchising World (International Franchise Association). Speaker at the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) National Convention (2010), Mont Tremblant, Quebec. Sam sits on the Board of Directors for Mid-Toronto Community Services and holds the positions of Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Governance Committee. While completing his Master’s degree in International Security Studies, he acted as Africa Desk Officer at the Centre for Study of Terrorism and Political Violence, United Kingdom. Prior to joining the firm, Sam served as a Senior Editor on the McGill Law Journal and volunteered at the McGill Legal Information Clinic.
